Healthcare takes many forms and inhabits many spaces. In addition to the typical hospital, many new buildings are establishing places with medical care can be done, with the calming quality of an office building. Doctor's office, in-house therapy, and out-patient surgery centers are taking up residence in medical office buildings everyday. RLR is helping to design the spaces that help the medical profession function outside of the typical hospital.

Conyers Medical Offices
For Conyers Medical Park, conveniently located near Rockdale Medical Center, Robertson Loia Roof worked with the existing site to maximize the square footage and efficiently configure the building to design a visible and contextual office complex for the growing community. RLR provided the master plan for the site which included a phased construction of four new medical office buildings on the site. RLR was also able to work with the building’s tenants (Rockdale Medical Center and Piedmont Hospital) to provide interior layouts including a pediatrics clinic, obstetrics and gynecology clinic, urgent care, orthopedic clinic and surgical clinic. The complex was the culmination of two separate buildings coming together for over 60,000 square feet of medical office space.
Cancer Center of Middle Georgia
RLR assisted with a large expansion of the cancer center in Dublin, Georgia; the largest center in middle Georgia. Patients travel several hours to see Dr. Harsha Vyas and get treatment. The relocation to this building and the renovation have added critically needed treatment space as well as a warm and inviting environment for patients, when the treatment is less than inviting.
